- Chlorinated Paraffins
Chlorinated Paraffins or called CP are complex mixtures of polychlorinated n-alkanes. The degree of chlorination may vary between 30 and 70 in weight percentage that defines its quality and application. CP are subdivided according to their carbon chain length with termed as short, medium or long chain CP. Primarily these are colourless or pale yellow liquids.
CP offer different types of benefits when added to different applications that include
Low cost flame-retardant solution
Greater flexibility at lower temperatures than conventional plasticizers
Improved Stain Resistance
Resistance to aqueous detergent extraction
Improves Chemical Resistance
Plastisol Viscosity Stability
Chlorinated Paraffin (CP) is a complex chemical substance used in multiple applications across diverse industries. Because of its wide advantages it finds its application in rubber, plastics, paints, adhesives, sealants, industrial coatings and fabric.
